About UsKyocera - An Environmental Pioneer Kyocera rigorously follows the principle of the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) as an environmentally concerned organisation. Optical parts, the imaging section, paper and fixed related materials are all designed for reuse and in order to promote recycling, parts are labeled with their raw material name. We also use biodegradable cardboard packaging with supports made from pulp mould.
In 1988, Kyocera introduced the world's first single layer photo electrostatic OPC drum which is made from aluminum materials that can be easily recycled and have incredible long-life properties. Since that time, drum units have been supplied to many global printer manufacturers. In April 2008 Kyocera Mita announced that all of its own sales subsidiaries in Europe and Africa had acquired ISO 14001 certification, demonstrating their compliance with the internationally recognised standard for Environmental Management Systems. ECOSYS Printer Technology Kyocera’s approach to sustainability is based on a waste reduction strategy – we strive to reduce the amount of resources our products consume, both in their manufacture and during their lifetime. At the heart of this is our ECOSYS printer technology, which uses unique long-life drums and developers which are designed (and indeed guaranteed) to last for the design life of our workgroup printers.
